Totally agree on your selection, Richard. Twisted Pixel has earned the Best XBLA development award for accomplishing what no one else did: take a simple approach, a fast idea, develop it, and give us a great XBLA title. Of course, it also ads to the formula that they are doing what other lazy developers aren't: give us gamerpics, themes and Avatar props for our support on buying this great title. Need we say more?

"Personally, I hope Climax is given the chance to iterate its new formula again."

Just please, please, please not with 2. The world doesn't need another tacked on pyramid head.

Funny enough I agree with you on the choice of Game of the year and my list of games that I haven't played yet is much longer than yours trust me, I just jumped in a few months ago after leaving the nintendo only policy behind me. Splosion man is one of the games I did play and is actually my favourite game. I know there are some excellent games out there but mostly they are sequels that we have come to except superb quality from. Splosion man was something new, innovative and just crazy, developed by a small studio who took the risk to do something original likewise the Maw that I haven't played yet unfortunately. I really hope they get some recognition because that's the kind of developers we need and as a prospective employee for the industry (currently a student) that's the kind of studio and games I would love to work for. Put it simply Splosion Man is the first game I managed to get my girlfriend to play with me and as she is a doctor is a bit hard to actually get her involved but splosion man with its attractiveness and just amazingly simple but very effective gameplay managed the impossible.

Firstly a big thanks to the developers and really looking forward to Comic Jumper!

Secondly Sensei really love the podcast and have been listening to you guys for some time now unfortunately I did not manage to contact you guys yet with an email being really busy as usual you have much more fans that you can think of! Keep up the good work and great choice!

All the best!

This was a pleasant surprise. I check in occasionally only to read about Obama again, and then I get hit with this redesign. It looks nice, good job Richard. Also, good luck with the Ultrastiq, hopefully the hatas have died down.

Sorry man. I didn't delete your questions, just didn't get around to approving them. Sorry!

I'll address some of those questions shortly. Actually, I'll have an editorial going up on Joystiq Xbox pretty soon. Keep an eye out for it.

Hey Richard. I also check this site every once in a while ...just for kicks i guess.

Anyway, sorry im a little off topic but i wanted to get your personal opinion on the New Xbox Joystiq Experience (if you will).

How do you feel now that the website that you build, xbox360fanboy.com, is essentially Joystiq now.

What do you think about all the seperate fanboy community sites being forced into a generic Joystiq website? (am i allowed to lead the witness?)

and my last question-
Do you think Joystiq had the community in mind when they decided to funnel all their fanboy sites into a bigger, bettter Joystiq?

of course you dont have to answer seeing as how it could affect your job and im not a blogger or anything of the sort....just a simple xbox fanboy.

thanks for your time man.

Hey man, I still have this in my RSS feed. So at least ONE person is out there LOL.

I'm glad he will be taking the reins as well. At this point, we need change, and he seemed far more up to the task than the competition.

It was a little disappointing to see the stock market dive immediately after, but that place always does that every 3/4's a decade it seems. Good thing I'm not about to retire like many of my co-workers.

Anyway, I think if we can keep the idea of unity in the country and working ourselves out of dysfunction, it will be interesting times indeed.
